- Work well for me0 people found this helpfulI buy these by the hundreds. While they have an inconsistent thickness that can be expected from a natural material, I find that if I choose matching sets when I engrave them, they come out a good quality finished product. I definitely will continue to purchase these. Lasered on a diode laser.
- Don't Waste The Money1 people found this helpfulHorribly inconsistent thickness and shape. They range from 1/8" to 1/4" thick randomly, and they are definitely not all completely round. I read the previous reviews before ordering, but had hoped they had improved 2.5 years after the first review was made. That was not the case. Don't waste your money on these round slate coasters until JPPlus takes some responsibility for ensuring the products they sell are appropriate quality for the cost. - Not Terrible, But know this0 people found this helpfulLike the others have stated, there are irregularities in the thickness of the coasters. Certainly would be very difficult if you were planning on UV printing them, or if your laser is very particular about the focal length. I was able to laser about 100 of these for a client relatively quickly and only had a few duds, I think they look great as a finished product and have a higher perceived value that other coasters if done right.

- Don't buy it0 people found this helpfulI bought more than 30 units and I wasted my money. Each coaster has different Thickness, what makes impossible to calibrate the laser and make a set of 4 for example, because each one will have a different result depending the Thickness (that is irregular, one side can be 0.14 and the other side 0.28. The surface is so irregular that even makes the result worse. The borders are not well cutted so you can cut your hand with it. And finally comes with only 3 felt pads, so doesn't has stability.

- Inconsistent quality0 people found this helpfulSurface finish is great, but in an order of 4 coasters, one is visibly skewed, so doesn't lay flat, and one is cut at a slant, the left edge is over 1/4 of an inch taller than the right edge. Nice looking, I'm sure it'll look amazing when etched, but these are iffy in general manufacturing.
