Can you use painters tape instead of heat tape for sublimation?

You could use painters’ tape instead of heat tape for your sublimation project. However, painters’ tape is tackier and can leave a sticky residue after being pressed with heat. Sublimation heat tape will hold your project in place but will not leave that sticky residue behind. The sublimation heat tape will leave you with an outstanding finish!
