- Its Ok... 1 people found this helpfulI have now tried two cake pans. The first was from the celebration box. It did not sub well at all. I then used the same lid to try different techniques around the lid. I Changed time and so forth. It wasn't good results at all. Then I tried one of my other same materials, that i have as flat pieces. It sublimated wonderfully. SO I decided to try again, with the cake pan, at least one more time. I got another. IT Definity sublimated, Ok, not as clean a result as other things I have made. Tip: USE the double mats. IT not only helps support the lid, but it helps to keep the temperature steady for the lid. Also, if you use a sheet to cover the printed sheet, or your toss sheet, Make sure it is even on top, double layer it if you can. I found where my sheets over lapped, and I only used two sheets of paper, the area sublimated better. Again, this is an expensive 'try' and see if you like. But if you use the base concept of the tips, other then what they say in the tech tips, you may yield a better result. Other then that the pan is very nice, the lid fits very nicely. Can make a great gift. If you become really good at sublimating the lids, they can be a nice profitable sell. However at the base price, your mark up will need to be worth the shipping cost, and the price of the pan. Best of luck.
