Can you sublimate on hot pads?
Yes, you can sublimate on hot pads. Sublimation printing is highly effective on hot pads, especially those made of heat-resistant polyester, which is perfect for this process. The combination of high heat and pressure in sublimation transfers the ink deeply into the fabric, creating vibrant, durable prints that maintain the pad's texture and functionality.
Can you use sublimation or toner heat transfer with hot pads?
Yes, both sublimation and toner heat transfer methods can be used with hot pads, particularly if they are crafted from polyester. Sublimation is excellent for vivid, full-color designs, while toner heat transfer is more suited for simpler graphics or text. Both techniques infuse the ink into the fabric, ensuring long-lasting prints and preserving the pad's heat-resistant qualities.
How long does it take to sublimate a hot pad?
Sublimating a hot pad typically requires about 1-3 minutes, depending on the heat press and the size of the design.
How long can a sublimated hot pad sit before being pressed?
A sublimated hot pad can sit for a short period before pressing, but it's advisable to press it soon after printing to achieve the best quality results.
What temperature should you use for sublimating hot pads?
Hot pads should be sublimated at a temperature range of 350-400°F (175-204°C), ensuring optimal ink transfer and vibrant results.
Do you let a sublimated hot pad cool before handling?
Yes, it's important to let the sublimated hot pad cool before handling to ensure the design is properly set and to avoid the risk of burns.

- Highly recommend0 people found this helpfulI love it. great quality and my sublimation colors came out great. you have a loyal customer...
- Not Good for All Over Print0 people found this helpfulThey press beautifully for colors. The issue is the edge lining, it also takes color so that loop up top does as well and that loop you can't get it fully colored or looking nice at all. These also, even with pressing foam on the bottom and good pressure using my geo press, can't get a full transfer. There is one spot here or there that will not fully flatten out so you will have it have a little white. I really was wanting this item to be better for an all over coverage but it is best if you do not do all over if you want it looking great and holding value to customers.
- LOVE LOVE LOVE!0 people found this helpfulI just got around to sublimating these pot holders and I can’t believe how absolutely beautiful they came out! I highly recommend them!
- Hot Pad0 people found this helpfulThese took color very well. Loved being able to create and customer design for my kitchen holiday themes.
