Can stainless steel tumblers be engraved?
Stainless steel tumblers can be engraved if they’re painted, powder-coated, or if they’re sprayed with an engraving coat. These 20oz and 30oz stainless steel powder-coated tumblers keep their great quality after they’re engraved. The stainless-steel option without powder-coating can be engraved when it’s paired with Cermark engraving spray, and it creates a dark engraving that contrasts well with the stainless-steel color.
Note: Stainless Steel color can be laser engraved with Cermark only.

- For an 8.00 Tumbler, I think these are great!0 people found this helpfulI noticed some lower star ratings, but I found these to be of good quality and easy to engrave. They have a good powder coating and engraved nicely. The lids are different from the lid on a Yeti, but you are NOT paying a Yeti price for these so I would expect some differences. These are great for custom engraving. I am very happy with these and will definitely order more.

- 20oz cup is not safe for hot drinks1 people found this helpfulPurchased a 20oz to try it out. Made for myself and laser engraved. The engraving was okay but when I used for a coffee cup. The heat pops the top off when sealed. Spilt my coffee twice. I threw it away. Might be okay for a cold drink but I can't take that chance with my customers.

They were the only 30 oz ones I could find that had the gold plating that I could find so even though I've never ordered from JPP before I took the risk. I ordered a case of 25 of them since my customer had her heart set on white and gold. A few of them came in with some scratches and dings in the gold and little issues in the powder coating. This already showed me that the quality control was not great. However, after I lasered etched my customers logo into some of them I found that there were HUGE scratches in the plating that was just covered with the powder coating and of course I was unlucky enough to find those spots with the design engraved. You can see in the picture I attached that the scratch is underneath of the powder coating. Again, very disappointed especially with how expensive JPP is compared to other companies like Hogg.
