Can you laser engrave foil?

Yes, certain types of foil can be engraved like this engravable laser foil, hot stamping foil, and foil stickers. Household aluminum foil can be tricky, so we don’t recommend this!

Can aluminum be laser engraved?

Yes, aluminum can be engraved. However, you may need a certain laser type or aluminum to achieve this. For example, fiber engravers can engrave bare aluminum and CO₂ lasers work best with a laser marking spray on aluminum surfaces. Anodized or painted aluminum work well for both fiber and CO₂ lasers.
